Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's most well-known actors. Her fame is for playing strong characters who are also at risk. In the summer, while working at the company of her father Laura Linney was captivated by theatre. After that she attended Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. When she graduated from Brown University, she made her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. Within two years of the time, her debut film was released and the next year she made her television debut. Since then, she has appeared involved in numerous films, television plays and stage productions. There were many awards she received throughout her career such as four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. The actress has received nominations for five Tony Awards, and three Oscar Awards nominations. In spite of all the distinctions and awards, theatre is still her passion and she will continue to perform on the stage and on screen.
