Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. She belongs to four generations of the Robertses that reside in the Atlanta area beginning by her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in the theatre at a young stage. While he was a pupil in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in many performances. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and, while being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in a military production that included Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in Air Force. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. In 1957, the couple quit the military and Walter enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in Decatur, Georgia called Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also called Julie) during this period.
